Tractor Driving and Related Operations (NPTC) 001431

This course is for individuals with some experience of operating tractors and ancillary machinery as part of their work in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, landscaping or other industries.  The one-day training and assessment provides the knowledge, understanding and skills required to prepare and operate a tractor and attachments safely and to industry standards in line with current legislation.  Topics covered include safe driving of a tractor, pre-use maintenance, safety checks and recognition of controls and instruments, hitching and reversing a trailer, attaching 3- point linkage and Power Take Off (PTO).

Inexperienced operators may require further training.
