One-day training plus assessment TBA
Training provides the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to apply pesticides using a self‑propelled, mounted or trailed horizontal boom sprayer. The C&G NPTC practical assessment takes place on a separate day.
The course ensures operators can work safely, efficiently and in full compliance with current legislation and industry best practice. Topics covered include: Legislative and safety requirements, Environmental factors and protection of water, wildlife and people, Reading and interpreting product labels and application information, Preparing, setting up and calibrating the applicator, Operating the boom sprayer safely and effectively, Post‑operational cleaning, maintenance and record keeping.
To achieve this qualification candidates must successfully complete a one‑to‑one practical assessment with oral questioning, carried out by a City & Guilds NPTC approved assessor.
