What Is A Forklift Licence?

Under Regulation 9 of The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) every employer legally has to ensure staff are adequately trained before using specific work equipment. This outlines a minimum requirement of training that employers will look for in a forklift operator.

To obtain a forklift licence, you must complete a recognised forklift training course. Accredited providers, such as DJ Gemmill, offer comprehensive training that equips you with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Courses delivered through recognised bodies like Lantra Awards and City & Guilds NPTC ensure you meet the standards set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), providing certification that demonstrates compliance with legal and workplace safety requirements.

As well as Rough Terrain, DJ Gemmill can also offer training on Counterbalanced and Industrial Telescopic Lift Truck.  All courses are accredited by Lantra, the leading awarding organisation for land-based qualifications in the UK.
