Horticultural Machinery Operation and Basic Maintenance

This course is designed for individuals who operate horticultural machinery as part of their work, as well as those managing large gardens who want to improve their skills and confidence.

One-day training provides valuable knowledge on the safe use and operation of a range of common horticultural machines, including blowers, brushcutters, hedgecutters and pedestrian mowers.  Topics covered include: Health and safety requirements and safe‑working practices, Risk assessment and hazard awareness, Pre‑start checks and routine maintenance, Identification and correct use of controls and instruments, Safe and effective operation of each machine.

A certificate of attendance is issued upon completion, providing evidence of training for employers and compliance purposes.
