EFAW+F for Forestry Level 3

One-day Level 3 EFAW+F is FAIB approved and fully compliant with HSE and Resuscitation Council Guidelines (UK and European) as well as meeting all FAIB criteria.

Ideal for those working in land-based industries, this course delivers the most up to date first aid techniques using and practical sessions.  Topics covered include incident control, the role of the first aider, first aid kits, accident books, primary and secondary assessment, causes of unconsciousness, administering first aid to an unconscious casualty, choking, shock, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), instruction in the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED), dealing with minor injuries, wounds and bleeding.

The 7 hours of training includes the extra subjects required by the Forestry Commission such as hypothermia, lift threatening bleeds, crush injuries, Lyme disease, snake bites, tourniquets and haemostatic dressings.

To achieve this qualification candidates must successfully complete a multiple-choice test at the end of the session.
