Lantra is the only awarding organisation that can take you from entry level all the way through to expert. This is because their courses are developed by industry experts and include practical skills and technical know-how. You can be sure that your training remains relevant as their training courses are recognised by Ofqual, SQA and Qualification Wales.

The Difference Between Lantra Awards and City & Guilds NPTC
In the past the way to get qualified was to complete Lantra training and a City & Guilds Certificate of Competence. Lantra and City & Guilds worked together under a “memorandum of understanding” which meant Lantra provided the chainsaw training and the assessment was provided by City & Guilds.
The only awarding organisations that offer the required qualifications for foresters and arborists in the UK are Lantra and City & Guilds. As the qualifications were written by both bodies jointly the content, methods and assessment of the training is identical.
