CPD module in Chainsaw Maintenance and Crosscutting (c&g NPTC) 004101
Course Overview:
CPD Module 001 – Chainsaw Maintenance and Crosscutting
This course is for individuals who are qualified chainsaw operators and under Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) are required to have refresher training every 3 to 5 years. One-day training covers the appropriate practical skills required to meet legislation, industry technical standards and industry good practice. The training is delivered by a C&G NPTC approved assessor. Candidates will complete skills tests which will be scored, each test has a minimum score for the CPD module to be achieved. The assessor will complete a feedback form on the candidate’s performance and advise of any recommendations required.
Chainsaws are potentially very dangerous items of machinery and could cause serious injury or death, therefore a minimum level of fitness is required to complete the practical elements of this course.
Candidates should have their own equipment and PPE which conforms to CE/EN standards. Please inform us if this prevents a problem as some items can be provided.
