What Is A Forklift Licence?

Under Regulation 9 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 every employer legally has to ensure staff are adequately trained before using specific work equipment. This outlines a minimum requirement of training that employers will look for in a forklift operator.

Rough Terrain Telescopic Lift Truck Training

Learning how to operate a telescopic lift truck proficiently and safely is a crucial skill for all forklift operator jobs, no matter the size or duration. According to the HSE Approved Code of Practice, telescopic material handlers should only be driven by qualified operators after completion of an approved training course. This Lantra Award will provide the qualification you will need to legally operate a rough terrain telescopic lift truck.

Course Overview:

Developed by Lantra, this training is designed to enable you to understand how to operate a rough terrain telescopic lift truck safely.

Sessions will be adapted to your specific requirements and are dependent on your previous experience and competency. This means the course can last for 1 to 4 days and will contain practical sessions as well as theory with assessment at the end of your training.
