Course Overview:
Unit 201 – Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides
This one-day course is designed for individuals involved with pesticide use and is a prerequisite to all application modules PA2, PA4, PA6 etc. PA1 requires an understanding of pesticide labels and regulations. This is all in compliance with regulations and directives from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Calculations and interpreting information are an integral part of the training and assessment. Topics covered include environmental considerations, legislation, pesticide preparation and record keeping.
To gain this qualification candidates must successfully complete an online multiple-choice exam (30 questions). The pass mark is 70% (21 marks out of 30) and at least one mark per section.
