The grounds equipment training courses are NPTC or Lantra Awards accredited and delivered by highly experienced instructors and assessors. We know what it takes to get you through accreditation as we’ve been training successful candidates across Essex for 15 years. At D J Gemmill we believe that every candidate should be given the time and instruction they need to get ready for assessment which is why we only deliver the training in small groups.

Why Do I Need Grounds Equipment Training

Our training courses are quality assured and are exclusively delivered by approved instructors. Lantra Awards works closely with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to ensure that the training materials and assessments reflect current safe working practices.

City & Guilds NPTC assessments are quality assured and managed to the highest standards. They are carried out by approved independent assessors and are either in practical or theory format. ITA awards mean that assessments can be carried out at your place of work or at a venue designated by us. This allows greater freedom for you and for training and assessment to occur in real world situations giving you a better training experience.

D J Gemmill is a recognised partner of Lantra Awards which means all of our courses are nationally approved and carry a certificate of competence.

We run First Aid course in Essex. Whether it be at home, in the workplace or out in public this course will give you the confidence to administer first aid to those who need it.

Horticultural Machinery Operation and Basic Maintenance

This course is for individuals who are required to operate horticultural machinery as part of their work, or even those with large gardens. One-day training will provide valuable knowledge on the safe use and operation of various machinery such as blowers, brushcutters, hedgecutters and pedestrian mowers. Topics covered include health and safety, risk assessment, pre-start checks, basic maintenance and safe operation. A certificate of attendance will be issued on completion of the course providing evidence of training.
