One‑day training and assessment provides the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to use and maintain a stump grinder safely and to industry standards, in line with current legislation. Topics covered include Health and safety requirements, Risk assessment and hazard identification, Relevant legislation and industry best practice, Site preparation and safe working methods, Routine maintenance and machine care, Pre‑start checks and inspection.
To achieve this qualification delivered by a City & Guilds NPTC approved assessor candidates must successfully complete a one‑to‑one practical assessment with oral questioning.
