One‑day training and assessment for new and experienced users of cutting equipment who are already confident in driving a tractor. This course provides the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to prepare and operate a tractor and its cutting attachments safely and in line with current legislation and industry standards. Topics covered include General safety requirements and operator responsibilities, Relevant legislation and industry best practice, Identification and correct use of controls, components and safety features, Pre‑start checks, routine maintenance and fault reporting, Safe operation of tractor‑mounted cutting equipment, Roadside working and associated safety considerations.
To achieve this qualification delivered by a City & Guilds NPTC approved assessor candidates must successfully complete a one‑to‑one practical assessment with oral questioning. Lantra Awards certification is also available for group bookings.
Training and assessment will take place at your premises using your own equipment.
