Unit 266 – Operating Pedestrian Handheld Applicators (Knapsacks) fitted with hydraulic nozzles or rotary atomisers to apply pesticides to or near water PA6AW
One-day training will provide the knowledge, understanding and skills required to apply pesticides to land using pedestrian handheld applicators fitted with hydraulic nozzles or rotary atomisers. Topics covered include legislative and safety regulations, environmental factors, read and interpret product information, prepare and calibrate the applicator, operate the application equipment, post-operational procedures.
To gain this qualification candidates must successfully complete a one-to-one practical assessment with oral questioning by a City & Guilds NPTC approved assessor. Lantra Awards certification is also available.
An additional assessment fee is payable to candidates who require PA6AW applying pesticides from pedestrian handheld applicators in or near water; please contact us to discuss this.
