Unit 253 – Trimmer and Brushcutter Operations
The course is designed for individuals who operate brushcutters and trimmers as part of their work. One-day training and assessment provides the knowledge, understanding and skills required to prepare and operate brushcutters and trimmers safely and to industry standards in line with current legislation. Topics covered include health and safety, risk assessment, site preparation, pre-use checks and maintenance, identification of controls and instruments and operating the machine to cut or trim to the capacity of the machine.
To gain this qualification delivered by a City & Guilds NPTC approved assessor, candidates must successfully complete a one-to-one practical assessment with oral questioning. Lantra Awards certification is also available for group bookings.
