This course is for individuals who operate mowers as part of their work in agriculture, horticulture, landscaping, grounds maintenance, greenkeeping and amenity use. One-day training and assessment provides the knowledge, understanding and skills required to prepare and operate mowers safely and to industry standards in line with current legislation. Topics covered include pre-use checks, maintenance, identification of controls and instruments, and operating the machine taking in to account the type of cutting mechanism used. Training can be delivered on machines with the following cutting mechanisms, Cylinder, Flail or Rotary. Customers must provide their own ride on cylinder machine.
To gain this qualification delivered by a City & Guilds NPTC approved assessor, candidates must successfully complete a one-to-one practical assessment with oral questioning. Lantra Awards certification is also available for group bookings.
