One‑day training and assessment provides the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to prepare and operate a handheld hedge cutter safely and to industry standards, in line with current legislation. Topics covered include Pre‑use checks and routine maintenance, Identification and correct use of controls and instruments, Safe operation of the machine to cut hedges effectively and within the capacity of the equipment, Industry best practice and safe‑working techniques.
To achieve this qualification delivered by a City & Guilds NPTC approved assessor candidates must successfully complete a one‑to‑one practical assessment with oral questioning. Lantra Awards certification is also available for group bookings.
