Unit 230 – Operate a Handheld Hedge Cutter
This course is for individuals who operate handheld hedge cutters as part of their work, either in agriculture, horticulture, landscaping, arboriculture or forestry. One-day training and assessment provides the knowledge, understanding and skills required to prepare and operate a handheld hedge cutter safely and to industry standards in line with current legislation. Topics covered include pre-use checks and maintenance, identification of controls and instruments and operating the machine to cut hedges to the capacity of the machine.
To gain this qualification delivered by a City & Guilds NPTC approved assessor, candidates must successfully complete a one-to-one practical assessment with oral questioning. Lantra Awards certification is also available for group bookings.
