Unit 201 – Safe Use of a Mobile Elevated Work Platform
This course is designed for individuals who operate a mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) as part of their work in agriculture, forestry, or grounds maintenance. One-day training and assessment provides the knowledge, understanding and skills required to prepare and operate a mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) safely and to industry standards in line with current legislation. Topics covered include health and safety, risk assessment, legislation, site preparation, maintenance, pre-use checks and safe operation. Training is offered on the following MEWP types; Scissor lift, Vehicle mounted, Trailed, Self-propelled (recommended for chainsaw work) or Vertical Personnel Platform. To gain this qualification delivered by a City & Guilds NPTC approved assessor, candidates must successfully complete a one-to-one practical assessment with oral questioning. Customers must provide their own MEWP.
Location:
Training and assessment will take place at your premises using your own equipment. If preferred training can take place at our premises in Ongar, however you must provide your own equipment.
