Course Overview
CPD Module 002 – Felling Small Trees up to 380mm
This CPD module delivered by a City & Guilds NPTC approved assessor is for qualified chainsaw operators who already hold a Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Felling Trees up to 380mm, and under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER), are required to undergo refresher training every 3 to 5 years. Focusing on the practical skills required to comply with legislation, industry technical standards, and best practices candidates will complete scored skills tests, each with a minimum required score to successfully complete the CPD module. Feedback will be provided on the candidate’s performance and advise on any recommendations where appropriate.
Chainsaws are potentially hazardous machines and could cause serious injury or even death. A reasonable level of physical fitness is therefore required to undertake the practical elements of this course.
Candidates should have their own equipment and PPE compliant with current CE/EN standards. If this presents a problem, please let us know well in advance of the training so suitable arrangements can be made ensuring the equipment is available.
